RHD 914 for salse...in Oz

Odd steering column location (steering wheel is very high), odd pedals (top-hung...).

Found another with a quick search, though pictures don't show much of the RHD conversion clearly.

A 914 is a rare car in Australia. Having lived in Melbourne for almost a year this was the only one I saw. There is a Porsche scene, (Dutton Garage always had a few nice cars for sale) but you're more likely to see American muscle or a Mazda rotary when it comes to foreign classics. On a sunny day you'd see plenty going for a cruise and parking up along beachfronts - St Kilda and Williamstown seemed particularly popular.

Blimey Keith, you have to be eagle-eyed to spot that but agree on both counts. The steering wheel is small which makes it look even higher

The steering column comes out through the centre of the dash as opposed to the lower edge - in another photo you realise the throttle pedal isn’t floor-hinged. Driving position must feel weird!
