Smoke coming from engine fan

So I took the 911T for its first good run today (MOT test) and it was quite smokey with fumes in the car (even with the heater hoses disconnected from the engine). Upon parking up with the engine good and hot, having run for a good 20 minutes, with the engine stopped, there was a gentle cloud of smoke (burnt oil) emanating from the engine fan. Is this normal / to be expected on an old car - is this oil escaping from old seals and will it eventually stop? It's not really that driveable like this as I'm quite sensitive to fumes.

It could be a build of of oil on the heat exchangers - not unusual at all.
I say could.
It can take a fair bit of burning out

It's not unknown to find that small creatures have made their 'home' under the grp engine shroud if the car has lain dormant for any length of time (esp in the US).
It would be a good idea to carry a 'fire stick' or other extinguisher if you haven't already got one in the car ...

On the plus side, the engine is quite nice when pushed - revvy and very loud.
