Does the left 3.2 Carrera intake manifold remove quickly?

Post by RobFrost »

I likely need to replace the six gaskets on the left hand side.

This guy basically disassembles the whole mainfold assembly:

I imagined undoing the 6 flange nuts and a couple of other bits to free the centre and lifting the entire left hand manifold assembly enough to slide the gaskets in. The procedure in that video looks like a full day's work with plentiful opportunity to break unbroken stuff and create more problems. Is there a simpler procedure?

I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

Do both sides, no point just doing one side.

Everything's recently done. Just looks like one came loose and blew its gasket so I was just going to check the torque on the other side. Apparently they often end up looser than spec one way or another.
