Assuming this is the genuine article, I’m curious what it will go for and whether it would be a good basis for someone to make a Goodwood racer for the A35 series?

As a van it wouldn’t be eligible to convert into an Academy racecar. And it looks like it would be an expensive start point anyway (and would be a shame to engineer away its history). To be honest, the finished race cars aren’t worth much these days. The days of A35 grids at Goodwood are long gone sadly. It was fab while it lasted...

Is there no race series for them anymore then ?

That van would be great have , as a kid James hunt was my hero driver 8)

I'd much rather have the van. That interview in Practical Classics about it is one of the best pieces of writing on cars and driving I think.
