Hello!
Just taken out my exhaust. Thank you for all the tips.
Before I put the new one in I want to secure the engine pan to the rear of the car as there's always been a gap.
See Pic! Does it just rest on the rubber seal shown by red line in photo?!

It fixes to the exhaust using brackets

Don’t fix it to the car body in any way unless you like looking for. New bits of engine tin and engine vibration being transmitted through the car.
