I need a pair of 9 x 15 Fuch wheels if anyone has one or two they're willing to part with.

They will be refurbished so condition not critical although would prefer crack free and straight.

Going to a good cause and will be used as intended

They are available from Porsche from time to time. Two years ago they were around £1300 each. There are very slight differences between these and an 'original' but hard to spot except for the larger centre hole.

I have a pair dated 4/72 which took four years to
find. Good luck with the search.

You will probably pay twice the new price per wheel for originals if your lucky.

I would consider the new one's as the centre hole is correct for your new build.

I have a set of 8’s and 9’s done by Harvey in RSR finish and never used since refurb. However, they are not original 9’s but nevertheless they are special Fuchs (one of only three pairs ever seen by Harvey). They pre-date the start of the production run of 9’s and Harvey reckoned they were made ‘early’ because someone couldn’t wait for real 9’s production to start. I bought them from Harvey, had them refurbed by him and the 8’s were done at the same time to match the appearance of the 9’s. They are deep dished and I don’t think there is another ‘full set’ like this anywhere. At the time I must have been on crack as, looking back, I can’t believe what I paid.

If you’d like photos I can unpack them and send some. I have only taken them out of the boxes once since I received them years ago. I might find a use for them someday but if you want something unique on your build I’d let them go for what I paid. However, you probably should have a stiff drink before I pm the price.

The shell looks fantastic by the way.

Thanks Mike although your wheels sound far too exotic for me and I'm too afraid to ask a price!......Hopefully your post will raise some interest.

Harvey did a pair of banded 7R's for me and there is a pair of sensibly priced banded 9's on German Ebay at the moment although if going this route I'd want to do this myself.

Dave's probably right and new wheels do have a lot appeal over a 50 year old set considering they'll certainly get used in anger!

I have some time with this and will see what comes up but thanks for the replies and suggestions

DP Motorsport in Germany have been widening Fuchs (& other) wheels since the '80's - I got them to produce a pair of 7R's for me ~ 20 years ago (from a pair of deep sixes I supplied).

I've also had pairs of 9/10/11 x 15's that had been widened by them ...

If new ones are available and affordable that is the route I would go knowing what a nightmare it is balancing wide fuchs and getting original wheels to run straight....

Are these for front or back?

Those banded wheels looky pretty dodgy to me darren,who made those.
I had a few sets done by dp,they were tuv approved and balanced well.
I have a few sets of 9,but not to part with,as i am looking for a few 11,to make some more rsr sets up and get a set restored for sunday best for parking on a lawn some where.
If you come across some 11,let me know please.
