i'm looking to replace the Head lining on my 1968 911L. Looking on Pelican Tech forum this is a difficult process requiring glass out. Any recommendations for people to carry this out for me. My particular problem is the two rear corners between the rear side windows and rear screen. I would consider applying a covereing piece over the last panel if I could find some matching" material with suitable ageing.

I did mine in 1989, never done one before in my life.
Had a local upholstery place (Aldridge Trimming, Wolverhampton) sew one up for me using the old as a pattern plus 3" all round for amateur installation.

Cheap and simple with channels for the roof wires in a white punctured cloth.

Bought some fresh EVOStick, two huge packs of 1" wide bulldog clips and set to.

Really easy to get it in and wrinkle-free, just needs time and patience.

However, any car trimmers will do a 911 easy with the glass all out. Nothing special about a 911, bit harder if you have a sun roof, it needs a hole and an access zip adding.

i'Ve done both a sunroof and non sunroof and the sunroof car was easier to do in my opinion neither overly difficult.

defo glass out, a fan heater in the car makes the vinyl stretchy. I have only ever done 1 on a non sunroof 67, it took me 3 days....but i took my time and was very happy with the end result as good as anyone.

There used to be a great peter morgan/autofarm vid peter did on his 68S, but i think its gone (other vids still out there).
