I have acquired this Hazet tool kit, I'm told it's a Porsche specific model, can anyone enlighten me?

There is a manufacturing ID letters/numbers on the piece on the back, near the top where the clip is, what does that read?

The markings are correct, not exactly sure the screwdrivers are correct, unless someone rubbed the blue paint off them.
Just about every kit is on this site

What model of Porsche is that meant to be for?

Likelihood is it could be a two differing models dependant on your ‘a’ or ‘A’ in Hazet to date it.

Ooooh, that's lovely! Little a as well. Agree that the screwdrivers probably aren't original.
I've got a few Hazet Assistents - they're lovely things.

I've done some more research (someone correct me if I'm wrong) the tool kits with blue screwdrivers were VW specific and sold by VW dealers, the clear varnish handled screwdrivers were Porsche specific.
I think this tool kit was manufactured in 1967, so would of been for a 67/68 model 911.

To the best of my knowledge there has never been a Hazet toolkit for an early 911 or 912. Are they not for a VW?
All the toolkits and tools I’ve had for Porsche models (I have a complete kit in my 67) have not included any Hazet tools except for perhaps pliers.
The tool bags are all rolled up types and in 66/67 they had a ribbed exterior material and a putty or red coloured interior material held with metal clasps.
In 68 the exterior was either grained vinyl or elephant hide material.

.
Some of the tools in 356 toolkits were manufactured by Hazet (including the spark plug wrench) but, as far as I'm aware, the tools were stored in a vinyl tool roll.
Sorry - just seen the link in the earlier post - it seems that this thread refers to "Tourist" toolkits which could have been supplied in addition to the Factory toolkits.

The VW-specific spare wheel toolkits had a VW logo stamped in them. The Hazet 'Tourist' kits are always referred to in VW circles as being for Porsches, but were never branded with the Porsche name or logo. Most VW or Porsche dealers sold them as non-official accessories, AFAIK.
