Raised spindle bilstein or KW? Why 72-89 only?

Hi all,
Apologies if this has been asked before...
When looking for raised spindle struts, why do the KW set, and bilstein sets say 72-89 only.
Will they not fit my 70/71?
Is it purely because the brake callipers have different fitment, as I was going to change these anyway...

Also, if so, KW or Bilstein?
And what other upgrades worth doing at the same time?
(Turbo tie rods and bump steer kit will be going on too...)

Thanks

Harvey

some raised spindles have the tie rod postion altered so no need for a bump steer kit ( I have raised spindles on my car ) . Bilstein based will have 3.5" caliper spacing

Id say Bilstein as choice due to their 'upside down' damper design
