Hi all,

Long time lurker here and finally pushed the button on a 912 with a fully rebuilt 2.2 engine and box on zenith carbs.

Its being shiped today so it should land in 6 weeks ish

Mechanically really good, had torsion tube rebuilt and paint is good'ish (well too good to repaint)

Not sure about the wheels on it, going to redo the interior and mildly hot rod it ( maybe do wheels satin black or replace them) remove front overriders etc

Any advice very very welcome

Where are you and where is the car coming from?

I am in the UK near London and the car is comming in from Canada.

Car looks good, welcome to DDK. Hopefully you'll have the car in good time for Spring. My advice ..... drive it as much as you can!

Has a current Canadian safety cert / similar to mot.

So should be ready to go ...ish !!

Certainly needs new tyres all round and I think the wheels are 6s all round with 205’s so might change those

Advice:

Like this 912 but without the stickers.

i.e. Louvred Lexan side glass, correct period Fuchs, drop bumperettes and add 1-piece fibreglass rear bumper. Maybe tartan seat inserts ?

Yes I am thinking something like that, probably will go for an r type front lower spoiler as well.

Now just need to wait at least 5 weeks !! It was picked up today and now at the docks.

When it was picked up the vendor was chatting to me on the phone and casually mentioned did I want the pictures from when he had the torsion tube replaced and a full jig alignment in January this year .... we yes please !!

This is what I had in mind. This looks like a proper Porsche tartan to me, or at least it is based on one. My original green/blue tartan is precisely the same pattern, just different colours.... http://www.werk924.com/ has a range, but not the orange version by the looks of it...
