New fuel tank - priming MFI pump

Hi guys,
I am in the process of installing a new fuel tank and running the engine (2.4T MFI) before removing it for a rear end body resto. The original tank (has corrosion/hole) was removed for front body resto.
I am looking for suggestions on the best ways to prime the MFI pump located behind the rear left seat????
e.g. use another pump to force new 99 RON fuel from the feed pipe next to the steering rack up through the (clear) inline filter and up to the pump behind the rear seat? I dont know whether that fuel can pass through the MFI pump and will come out of the fuel filter connections in the engine bay??
I dont want to remove or disturb the (original) MFI pump/pipes at the moment and all of the fuel pipes are bone dry currently because the original tank and pipes were drained some time ago....
From searching around, including on Pelican, I think I have the rest of the startup procedure covered....
Hope someone can help get me over this wee hurdle!
