DDK - Die Deutschen Klassiker

I'm doing a few bits of tidying up on the underside of my 3.2 and have dropped the oil pipes ( still all connected ) to get at the sills, look at the kidney bowls etc. I can see that most of the paint has come off the pipes, so would like to refresh it. Can anyone advise what paint to use and if any special preparation is needed? I want to do this in situ, so don't expect it will be easy to get around the whole circumference.

any enamel type paint will suffic.You can use 2 pac, or just high temp engine block paint.They dont get hot enough to warrant high temp though.Scotchbrite will get it clean and provide good key.

Thanks for the advice, I'd not thought of engine paint but realised they don't get too hot. Chris
