Painting advice for the cooling fan

Does anyone have any advice on how to have the cooling fan painted in such a way that the paint stays on?
ie, does it have to be powder coated?
stove enamelled?
2k etch primer and 2k paint?
I have found that the speed of the fan cutting the air causes standard primer and paint to chip off.

Hi Phil,
Clearly my fan spins a little slower
I just cleaned it up and sprayed it with silver smoothrite, no problems!

Hi Gary
well, this is why I asked for help.
I wondered what everyone else did.
The fan is such a focal point of the engine bay, that it needs to look good.
I have learnt from you that smoothrite paint sticks and stays on the ally fan blades.

Hopefully other people may also add their secret formula for painting success to this message....

Does anyone know what colour the fan should be on an original spec 911t 2.2 ?
I wouldn''t want to spray mine the wrong colour!

Originally the fan would not have been painted, it would have been left in bare magnesium but with a 'token' protective coating of something like Tectyl.
