No advisories recently on the MOT. Is the 987 much better than the 986? Are the 2.7 under powered?

That drivers seat look well worn for sub 50K miles

Ours has done 75 and looks new compared to that

MOT check suggests it's not got one and is due?

Very low mileage though but yes, on the high side

Guards with orange lenses and small wheels is on point though.

Black leather would be better, but just dying the carpets black would really help the interior look less insipid.

I’d rock that car.

I think it looks well, and 2.7s go well enough. Those 17s are the nicest wheels they put on them IMHO.

Check the coolant reservoir as looks as if boiled over looking at the boot carpets, and ensure not damp. Check again when hot and idling. (It may be that someone has just put a load of cr4p in the boot and got it super dirty.

I do have a black dash if you fancied a colour change. I used to have a full carpet set in black but had to get rid as it took up too much space..

Price is toppy , but if the mileage is genuine there aren’t that many around like that. Mine is the same age and 102k. Car cover in the front is a good sign of a cared for car, as long as it is not a leaky one, so check all the carpets inside for damp. They have a ton of sound deadening in them so hold water better than a bucket.

Definitely worth a look though

Go with your eyes very OPEN.
List to check:
Exhaust cat studs replaced for stainless bolts
Rear exhaust clamps and bolts ok, they split.
That coolant and any drips on the underside plastic covers. If some, can cost a lot, DIY or 2 x more if using an Indie
Wet carpets anywhere, really wet ones = ecu at risk
Front A/C rads and any leaf mulch build-up at the bottom, check A/C works (it won't freeze you to death, but will feel nice and cool)
Any oil leaks anywhere
Surface rust showing on the leading face of the sills at the front, wheels grit blast the area
Front discs corrosion in inner face, would be an MoT advisory or failure, easy diy job on the front.
Roof works several times in succession, windows drop on door opening/roof drop/errection.

While roof is 1/2 down (use roof switch to stop it here) check rear roof drain tubes are clear, if blocked = wet carpets

I would say the 17" wheels and the 2.7 engine is a great combo for real touring, road manners and comfort. 19" and 35 profile hurt.
I can't open your link, so this car may be perfect (low miles does not = perfection) but I hope this helps.

It’s a decent colour Neil, not boring like so many of them.
Not a huge amount of money either- cheaper than my “new” 914.
Ideal for a continental trip - but definitely crossing to the “dark side” - there my be no turning back

3.2s for less with same miles

Seems spendy to me otherwise.

They are so, so temptingly cheap.

I’m sure you’d soon lose the will to live when the first 7 you view are all dogs.

Haven't driven a 986 but I made the decision to go for a 2.7 987 mainly because they all come to PSM and I didn't want my wife getting a fright on a wet roundabout. Also I think the interior looks better. As for performance I'm more that happy with the 2.7, it's fast enough for me and really comes on song over 5000 rpm and I get over 30 mpg!

Obviously you’ll have Porsche running costs to cover, but buying a 2009 car like that for £12k and selling for £6k in 10 years feels phenomenally cheap for such a nice car.

Not a fan (personally) of the grey interior but that’s a lot of car for not much money.
