911 engine shroud - repaint?

OK, so the shroud on my engine is starting to look a bit tatty, it had been previously painted and that is starting to come off, so what sort of paint do you recommend?
Almost scared to say this on here, but I painted mine (rattle can) Hammerite smooth /satin Black.
That was in 1995, still there. Cost £9 today and you will have some over for touch-ups later.
