.
Why 'dodgy' ?
The conversion - part of a complete restoration - was carried out by Kevin O'Rourke (Moto Technique).
The last time I checked, the 'going rate' for a good 246 Dino was in the £300k+ region ...

Dodgy from my experience of people's views when selling a 911 with a L to R conversion! Only one step up from Cat D.
I have no idea whether this car is dodge in the real sense of course!

I went to visit Nick Cartwright in the Peak District quite a few years back when they were about £90k and decided they were above my budget, but that was a lovely visit. IIRC they declared that it had become uneconomic to restore them with the prices at that point (or that could have been their sales pitch). I went on to buy my 996 GT3 RS for £55k. I did however rent a 246 to take my wife away for a romantic weekend to see if the reality was as good as I lusted after as a teenager. The Dino, definitely, the romantic weekend, so-so

In the particular case mentioned there s no one better than Mototechnique and Kevin........he’s not done too badly on the odd Porsche in his time!

28 years later and the current owner said he was still finding confetti in it!

Such a beautiful car but compared to a fibre glass 308 seemed slow, the steering is very low geared

As people may have spotted I'm looking around for something different and definitely can't afford anything like a Dino, but I do like the look of the 308. What are they like to drive and own?

Graham, a well sorted 308 is the most beautiful car to own and drive, just make sure you have a factory trained mechanic as your best friend... and living next door preferably.
Here's the link to the thread on my Vetro, should take you to the page with the 308/911 driving comparison post. A bit flowery but you'll get the point.

That picture's worth reposting, too.
