I am just in the process of converting back from aluminium arms to the correct steel arms for my '69. A few questions:

What are the correct shocks for the '69 LWB's?
I currently have Bilstein 707 0975 H001 which are in good condition. Do I just use them with different lower bushes to accommodate the narrower bolts?
If I am using narrower bolts (the aluminium arms had thicker bolts), does anyone have the part numbers for the bushes and metal tubes?

In 1969 the standard rear shock absorber fitment for the T & E models was Boge with Konis being fitted to S models.

Many people have subsequently 'upgraded' their T & E models by fitting Konis.

However, if your Bilsteins are in good condition, I'd stick with those - especially if you have Bilstein struts on the front.
