I've always fancied a Corvette and saw this on eBay last night......six miles down the road !

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1973-Chevrol ... %7Ciid%3A1

so went to have a look this morning. It looked absolutely immaculate and had sold in two days . I've never driven or even sat in one. I'm not sure if I should be disappointed or relieved !

Does anyone have any experience of them ?

I've a soft spot for them as well, often fancied one. They share the same 7.4l V8 thats in my Airstream motorhome, big lazy pushrod engine, bullet proof really. This might have the same trasmission as well i.e. Th400. Mu mate has one - must ask him how he gets on with it...

Any car that has a plaque with its compression ratio on gets my vote.

I drove a C6 not long ago. It was quite good.

Got a mate who runs Corvette Kingdom up near Bootsy. So if you want to have a chat with him (not Bootsy), let me know

Lol it's on my watch list also on ebay. Is it at the car detailer place? They had quite a nice survivor mustang last year also....

Looks in great condition. Most American classics seem to be either scruffy as hell or hot rodded up so makes a nice change. Bet it would look great in its original colour

Hi Jason

I think it'll be the same place - they had a range of their own detailing products there and were telling me that every car they had, had sold very quickly. Given the level of presentation I'm really not surprised, the Corvette was really well presented (as was the workshop), apparently they'd spent sixty hours detailing it ! Had it still been available I'd have bought ti there and then.

Their "sold ' list is here,

They're only six miles from me and I'd never heard of them before. I've arranged to take my Alfa SZ to them for some detailing work when things return to something like normal.

C3 on the basis that I would be unlikely to afford a C2.

Love the C3 shape.

Anyone remember 'The Magician' series?

Yes that’s them.

I nearly bought this...but was away at the time.

They seem to price sensibly compared to some dreamer dealers and like you say cleaned within an inch of their life!

By taking the vowels out of their name they have lower print costs and spend less time typing, so lower overheads than other dealers that use vowels.
