What is wrong with these weber carbs?

They are about 1/3 of the price of any other new ones??

They're not Webers, the ad says it - they're to replace Webers.
I've run non original carbs on little 1600 VW motors, and they work OK, but the general consensus is that on high performance stuff the quality can be lacking making set up and longevity a problem.

Neil, I have a pair of genuine 40IDF Webers that need a clean up - and one air volume screw replacing. Yours for £50 the pair if it helps.

They are ugly and only have one hole. More holes are faster!!

I find one hole to be perfectly adequate.
Any more than one hole is unnecessarily complicated.
