Yet another stupid request for info from yours truly! Where is the metal washer foot pump located on a lhd 58A T2? Is it screwed to the wooden footboard high up on the left hand side above the foot operated main beam switch?

There is a bracket welded to the underside of the petrol tank floor, see picture.

Hi Drew,
I thought that this was for the headlight dipper switch? My washer pump (is it an SWF?) has 4 locating holes and obviously I couldn't identify a reciprocal fitting in the car..mine is as the pic you supplied.
BTW off topic, I presume you are the same guy who has the "African Queen" fetured on abcgt? Really fantastic and dedicated work there fella! I've been through the same thing with my A but fortunately I have a highly skilled mate who fabricates and he can weld Mars bars together!

Aha,
I've just revisited the pic and now I see that you mean the bracket welded onto the underside of the petrol tank panel!
I'm off to he workshop in a bit and I'll see if it all becomes clear!

Hi Drew,
Unfortunately Drew work is one thing that this chap is not short of! Over the years he's worked with WRC teams, F1, Prodrive, Honda motorbikes etc and is continually in great demand! In fact I had to wait 2.5 years for him to do my 356 and I'm a friend of his! We live in Cheshire, if he was in the Home Counties I think he'd have even less time than he does....i.e. even less than none!
Hope to have my A finished for early summer and if possible I'd like to meet up with some of the folks from DDK who've helped me with this very tedious restoration!
