Hi,
I can't seem to find any definitive advice on what Loctite to use (if any) on all of the case studs that were removed when the case halves were machined. Can anyone give any advise?
Thanks

Loctite 574 seems to be the favourite of Dempsey, etc al. Apply only to the right-side case half. You have about 45 minutes to get everything buttoned up before the Loctite goes off.

That’s for sealing the case halves together.
Has the case been fitted with savers? If so red if not blue locative would be my recommenation

A very small/smear/dot of Red (on very clean male and female threads) on studs for me too so the nut unscrews and not the stud in later years.

Thanks guys, Yes I was referring to the studs rather than sealing the case. I'm guessing there would be no negative impact if you used nothing, blue or red unless you ever needed to split the case again when you might get some studs come out instead of just the nut. I've got some red already so I'll go with the small dot of Red.

I've had the same bottle of Red for decades and simply vary the amount depending of the job in hand. A lot of it will 'weld' the stud in, hence the spot/smear comment.
Never had anything come loose and have always been able to dis-assemble a job and the stud stays in place.
Have had to change a few studs, but a gentle local heating of the damaged stud sees it turning out using the 2 x nut system.
