pre A and A front bench seat

whats the low down please.... are they comfy for a touring car (not racing), are they out there? is there a guide price on what i should be paying if i can find one.... am i right thinking that they were mainly for the american market??
iv seen some cars with them, so just curious...

A number were fitted to cars that went to AUS
They will be as comfortable as any 356 seat but, of course, without any Bum location They can be found - Expensive
I really do not see any point to them but `each to his own`

That's certainly the case, Mike.
It seems to have been a reasonably popular option here during the A era.
There is also at least one T5 B in Brisbane with a bench seat fitted from new.
It meant you could squeeze in an extra passenger!
I had one in my 58 A cab.
Some were split back, and some were one piece. The individual backs tended
to be the larger T1 type, even in the T2's.
