NEC Practical Classics Show Auction: 964 Targa

Went to the show yesterday, some nice cars in the Auction (just tyre kicking for me) and this red 964, 1990 looked a real beauty.

Bit (lot?) leggy at 138K, repainted in '16 but looked near perfect and a high of £40K ish seemed good.
Whilst gawping, engaged in a chat with a fellow enthusiast who fancied a bid, Phil Sewell, a 356 devotee but not adverse to some modern stuff.

Phil's owned a lot of 'old' Porsches - apart from his lovely 356's - including several early 911's ...

Indeed, it was a chance meeting, I must have looked star-struck by the 964....so he rescued me from my trance.
Nice chat mind, and the 964 to me looked really nice with a lot of work on the body sorted.

I think it goes under the hammer today.
