Finding history on my UK delivered 1969 911S

Post by Stevie boy »

Hi all hope your having a good Sunday, as i mentioned in my fist post i have a 1969 911S UK delivered i have some of the history while it's been in Australia, but nothing from the UK except for the first owners name on the Kardex it's had to make out but looks like Peter Berger or Beiger From Notts. The chassis number is 119300816 any help or ideas on tracing the it's history would be greatly appreciated
Thank you

A thread on Early S...

http://www.early911sregistry.org/forums ... elp-please

Peter Beiger was/is a german actor who may just have had enough money to order himself a brand new S in 1969.

That's a good start having the first owners correct name. The history search begins i am trying to contact who i believe was the first owner here in Aus, going to call Porsche Australia tomorrow hope they might have some info or contact Germany on my behalf if i get anything i will keep you posted.

Hi Steve

Are you ‘pommie old git’ on the Early S Registry?

The archive in Germany can only give you the document that Clyde already posted a picture of in the thread that Mike provided the link to on the ESR.

Better trying to track down Mr. Berger and send him a nice letter asking for info and any pictures. It worked for me when a letter or two was penned to Paddy McNally and a few other notable owners of a similar car that Brendan Mullan (BJMullan on here) found in a barn. I had very little to do with it. Brendan did all the work. (But it was my idea).

Regards
Mike

Hi Mike
No i'm Pommy old git on the Early S Register a more suitable name don't you think lol, lede gave me a lot of info, and has been most helpful he's a really nice guy I have the Kardex which is a good starting point
also have other paper work i'm trying to follow up. The car is 50 years old now depending how old MR Beiger was when he bought it he could be getting on a bit now Think i might have to get Sherlock Homes on the case.
thanks for your thoughts

I replied by pm.
The name’s not important. Just making sure we are talking to the same guy about the same car on two different forums.

It’s a rare car. Good luck with your search. Apart from trying to contact the first owner in the U.K. I’m not sure how much more info you can get that you don’t already have.

Regards
Mike

Hello Steve, have you applied to the DVLA for any records of registered keepers?

You need to complete a V888 form then sit and wait two or three months.

If they have anything on record they'll send you photocopies to decipher.
