I’ve noticed a small pin hole has developed in my exhaust so probably not too long before it will need replacing, I’ve also found a similar pin hole in one of the heat exchanger pipes, can anyone advise on the best type of replacement to go for?

I just want a nice stock exhaust ideally, I’ve had a few quotes for the dansk version, does anyone know what the quality and fit is like on these? Or alternatively can anyone recommend an alternative stock style system?

I bought a standard system from PRS and it fitted perfectly. I prefer a standard system because alternatives tend to be loud, which might be fun for an audience (probably on the continent) but not so for the occupants who have to live with it. They are Karman, both really nice people may have second hand heat exchangers too.

I bought a Dansk exhaust from Roger Bray. Took some fettling to get it to fit.
Sounds quite throaty.

Turbo Thomas do a stock looking exhaust in stainless Steel. They also have j tubes in stainless. Cut a slot in the heat exchanger in your existing exhaust replace the j tube with the new one. Weld up the slot and you have a full stainless system that fits and sounds good

I have a dansk exhaust on mine. It develop surface rust pretty quickly. I might be tempted to go with SS if I were do again.

Then again why since replacing both (heat exchanges/exhaust) after tax would be £1200? I would be tempted to remove and have someone repair.

I’ve always used the Bursche, it’s the one that was always recommended in the 912 tuning manuals. It’s quiet pretty much as stock, but has tuned pipelengths and fits and exits the car nicely,where an original would so looks no different apart from a chrome tip. I got mine from custom speed parts in Europe somewhere and their postage was no more expensive than a uk purchase.

Going to up this one. Any new options for 912 exhaust systems? I like the engineered equal length of the Bursch, but worry about noise. I would like a quiet ride. I don’t suppose anyone makes a Bursch with dual mufflers (like the VW bug ‘dual quiet pack’)?
