Boxster beets 914 record at Harewood!a

It is with a real sad heart that I am forced to announce that "rhd racer" has finally beaten "914-6" 's record at Harewood, albeit in a Boxster (of all things) , which stood for at least 12 years.
But seriously well done Wayne.

By means of consolation, I don't think your Loton record will ever be beaten!

Just to prove you can teach an old dog new tricks, I set to work on this Youtube malarkey, and here is the result;

Prior to the weekend my PB was 66.85, Ian's record 65.90, and my recorded time was 65.19. This time would have also won the class above mine, for cars rated to 250bhp.
It was one of those runs where everything went just about perfectly. The splits suggest I had been 0.1s quicker in the first 1/3 of the hill in a practice run, so there may be another pip or two to squeeze, but I was shaking for about half an hour afterwards as it was!
Without doubt, my best result since getting the Longleat class record in Dave Hiltons 911E in 2003. Perfect days don't come round often!

Nice run, I hope they still hand out the little wood and brass trophy with your time on it, mine arrived at the end of the year (2002), it was a great surprise and still holds pride of place in my study.
