My 356 T5 cab is an original Australian car, it had red lenses which I changed to uk spec but when I brake the orange part comes on !!

With headlights on the red part is lit.

Can somebody tell me the uk sequence and how it is achieved with only 2 single contact bulb holders?

Thanks
Confused

Hopefully some help here.

Seems as though you are going through the same sort of process I went through a few years ago when I first got mine.

Thank you.

Yes the same process and very informative.

Not being a electrical kind of guy is there a supplier of the twin terminal bulb holder? and also in my research i have read that the thickness of the wiring for 6v cars is very important, any idea on what size of wire to run from master cylinder?

Ray

Something like this is what you need. You will have to take the plastic outer off and throw it away, then take out the single filament holder from your teardrop light, and then push the new one in. A dab of solder will join the two together. Don't worry too much about the wiring, just make sure that its the same sort of thickness as that which is already on the car and you won't go far wrong.

Make sure that all your earths to the rear lights are in good condition too. That is probably the most important bit.

Have you found the 'spare' wire yet?

If it is an original Australian car, I am pretty sure it would not have had all red lenses and should also not have two single electrode bulbs.

If it was an Australian delivery it should still have the double filament brake/parking light wiring. T6 below, and T5 should be the same.

According to the Kartex the Car was a factory ordered Right hand drive, customer address Sydney Australia.

The car was kept in Europe for a a while before Porsche shipped it to Australia.

The car must of made its way to America before being shipped back to the UK around 1990

So I am hoping the original wiring will be still around
