Maybe this should be in general chat, but for those of you who wanted to know a bit more about the car lift used in my SuperPro bushings posting, here they are (and I have more if you really want them):

One of the guys does a lot of work in the Far East and believes a very high quality version of this could be produced over there for not a lot of money...

Interested? I'm going to investigate further.

It looks a tight squeeze under the car  I imagine the ideal solution would be to have a 'cut out' in the garage floor for this lift to sit in.

If I can ever afford it, there are quite a few options whan it comes to car lifts

James - good idea about a mini pit in the garage however if the lift sat in the garage floor, you wouldn't be able to extend the arms out to the jacking support points as they are so very close to the floor...

Also, whilst it's conceptually similar to your first picture, Steve's lift can also tilt the car fore and aft - I didn't bother posting those pictures up...

Thanks for the photos - really helpful. I'd be interested in your research regarding production.
You can PM me any other photos you have when you have time.
Thanks
Mick

James

I know we are just playing at it, but there's no need to rub it in.

Some of those garage posts on Pelican are just awesome. My next house doesn't need to be very big, but must come with plenty of land for building on  .

I'm interested (although I think I'll need to raise the roof of the garage!)
