Interesting to see a couple of 356 prices at yesterday’s auction. This 58 356A with the added grunt of a non original S90 engine, an older restoration with seemingly nice patina, sold for £60,751.

This marmite 64 356C 236hp Flat 6 “visionary” outlaw (flat floor and weird stance and all) that was not much liked on here sold for £88,292.

The ‘C’ was certainly strongly modded with a couple of big names involved in the process, but it’s a whopping 28k bigger price tag. Maybe this shows the evolving strength of a Rod Emory inspired younger market looking for rather more fun and fizz?!
