DDK - Die Deutschen Klassiker

I've finally settled on the routing for the fuel lines in the engine bay (carb to carb) and now I need to fix them.

In some modern cars they have clips which have a fir tree type "stem" with a circular / locking loop on top. Sometimes you see wires & sometimes pipes running through them. I have no idea what they're called but I think they're what I need.

Anyone know what these clips are called & where I can get them?

There are 3 or 4 holes (7mm) in the bulkhead between the boot & the engine bay and this is the line I want to clip the fuel pipe to.

Secondly I would like to tidy the slack in my HT leads. Holding them it seems if I could get a 4 slot type of clamp (small plastic type) this would do what I need.

Help appreciated on these finicky final fixings.

The clips that look like fir trees, bizarrely are called fir tree clips. The ones with cable ties are called fir tree cable ties. Funny that.

Try Moss Plastics / Essentra Components or Jet Press. They manufacture these type of clips (I just took the fuel pipes out of my 914 2 weeks ago). They tend to be expensive in low volumes, as they really want to sell massive volumes (at least one of them does have an online shop). You may be able to find 3rd parties who buy in their products in bulk and sell them on in small volumes for more realistic prices, but if you just want a few for one car, their low volume prices direct may be acceptable.

Distilled from fir trees.

Those sort of things I always pick up at the scrappies. VW group cars tend to have the best wiring clips.

I'm going to call into a bodyshop i'm familiar with tomorrow to see if they have some kind of chart or similar that i can look at. I'll suggest vw group to him and see if that helps find them.

I couldn't find the right style clip in the correct size. The biggest I found was 12.7mm which was to small for the fuel pipe o/d.

I decided on rubber edged p clips fixed with stainless self tappers.

Nasty cable tie clips was never an option.
