We will be going, renting an RV as before and checking out california whilst there--normally we have 3 weeks. have done the last 3.
as long as they don't change the dates again--cost me nearly a grand in 2015!!!
gripe over.

Has to be better than CLM? It's all Porsche! 2016 was a super event. I would love to go. Better start saving :)

Sometimes there is nonsense posted and to compare CLM with Renn Sport is rubbish.
They are both superb events and you pay your money and make your choice.
Having had cars at both I would have a preference to be in France but it's only just.
The historic nature of the circuit makes the difference.
Rennsport Motorsport is that's it's under US Historic Racing rules which are much more rigid than Europes.

Welcome back John!

Greg Campbell's super fast car, which was 2nd in the race last year, has a 1.7l engine in it. Would that be allowed at CLM!

The cars at Le Mans Clsssic are under FIA HTP regs so no it wouldn't get in and need to be a type that raced at Le Mans in period,
Our main reason for not doing US races is their pedestrian nature.
The mind set of US club races are to enjoy a social day out rather than actually race,
Some of cars racing in US are not original specification.
Easier to enter Renn Sport if it went back to East Coast

Comparing apples and pears?
CLM is great because it's everything [not just -but plenty of Porsche] and 24 hours + bonus road trip- 2018 will be my fourth time.,
RR - only Porsche so completely different- and I've not yet been.
Will try to do both if possible.
