DDK - Die Deutschen Klassiker

PCGB's annual Northern meet was an excellent event as usual. There was a massive turnout, mainly moderns but a good few early cars, 914s ruled.

There were a couple of Singer lookylikes and a metallic green early 911 with a trick engine that sounded most unusual, not like a flat six at all.

And there, in amongst all that galvanised metal were just two 356s, a lovely original B and an A with a bent bonnet.

I was so busy looking at stuff I didn't take a single photo.

It would be good if someone did, please post them up so we can have a look.

Without any photos we don't believe you even went ...

That's how I spend my Sundays... pretending to go places.

Loads of people saw me there, I had my nice blue shirt on.

A photo ? Of a red 356 ? That was me, I was there I tell you ! I was wearing my nice blue shirt and everybody was smiling at me and patting me on the back and laughing at my jokes. The sun was all warm and there were flags fluttering in the breeze that said PCGB welcomes Mike, welcome Mike.... and Peter was there and offered me a fag.
