I'd like to replace the black sound proofing pad in the engine bay of my '73 911. Can anyone recommend a good supplier of an original quality product with perfect fit?
Many thanks

Re: 1973 911T engine bay sound proofing pad/mat
If you have the original horse hair mat then I think you will need to go to the aftermarket US suppliers to get the same as the Porsche replacement is a foam item, probably better in terms of sound proofing and fire safety, but not 100% correct visually.

Thanks Nick. The what looks to be original mat in the car is foam backed and is crumbling to dust.
