I had a set on a 1600 VW type 1. Super easy to set up & very forgiving with the jetting, unlike IDF Webers.

You might have better luck posting them on the MG Owners Club forum - I sold a similar set of carbs on there a few years ago. Otherwise, Retro Rides could be good too.
All the best,
Steven

Unfortunately not all 40 DCNF carbs are the same - lots of cars utilised them (including 246 Dino, 308 GTB/GT4, Lamborghini Urraco, etc - in fact I have one fitted to my Abarth 850 TC).
The numbers stamped after the '40 DCNF' identify the original application.
