Rear calipers

Rear calipers on a 1973 2.4S .... I knew all this info and it's in my head somewhere ... but just to confirm , they're the same as the sc's aren't they ? Same as 3.2?

Same as those fitted to an SC but not a 3.2 which has a wider spacer to accommodate a thicker disc.

I have 3.2 calliper and discs on the front .... can't remember exactly but I think I'm stock out back. What's the disc thickness approx for 2.4 - SC ?
I have a sticking rear calliper and need to either refurb or replace asap

New refurbed calliper arrived overnight 
Has come with these slip in plates .... I've not seen these before. Anyone else?
I was just going to whip them out and bin them .... any reason to keep them installed ( assuming the brake pads locate ok )

I have never seen those before, maybe they are jigs to align the piston correctly (notice the angle)?

Yes, those are tools to align the pistons. Remove and keep them in your toolbox. There used to be stamped thin steel plates to hold the pistons in alignment that came with the stock pad kits; these may be NLA now.

I've used budweg calipers on my 3-series as the larger 330d calipers were virtually impossible to find second hand and I had no cores to send back
They were cheap-as-chips, but have worked fine since fitting (10-15k) so very impressed

they are to align the Pistons.... I'll save them for future use 
Impressed so far with these budweg callipers , much cheaper than the usual Porsche places and they came with a pin kit for the pads too . All fitted up and bled and so far looking good. Bleed valve needed a tighter nip than usual but that's all
