DDK - Die Deutschen Klassiker

My 912E 1976 import came with 16 x 7J genuine Fuchs with 205/55/16 tyres and the front 2 rub the inside of the arches. Some forums say they should fit some say not...I was hoping to just fit 195 's and solve the problem but most of the advice seems to point towards fitting 15 inch rims to the front. Would spacers solve the problem or will I need to exchange 2 x 16inch rims for 2 x 15 inch to fit the fronts ?

Any advice would be welcomed, thank you.

Put a set of 15s on (even steelies) with correct 185/70 or 195/65 tyres. The car will look better and ride and steer much better.
