I am running 6 and 7 cookies which I thought were standard SC fit, but I can't help feeling they get a bit lost at the rear, under the SCs flares.?
What do you reckon, does this look right? I like the way I drives, its just the look..And any recommendations for source of cheap spacers?

Mine looked the same until I fitted 21mm spacers Johnny, they now fill the arches a lot better. I wouldn't recommend cheap spacers though due to the stresses on them.

Thanks, maybe 5mm I could get away with universal cheapies..but 21mm, blimey! Did you get more understeer? Did you space the fronts?

I haven't noticed anything of that nature, it's not a huge change as ultimately all you have done is moved the same tyres 42mm further apart. The fronts have stayed the same for now.

Yes I am treasure. . and the ride is still shocking. ..it needs bushes and shocks all over I suspect.

After a rummage about I remembered I have a set of 2" spacers, which are 1.5kg each with bolts! Not sure I want to add 3kg unsprung to the back end, out of principle.

Do (lighter weight) non hubcentric spacers, maybe a bit thinner, really cause problems? Surely it is still the hub taking the strain?

Also wondering why Porsche went to the trouble of flaring the arches if the wheels dont fill them..

Early 944 rear hubs came with spacers fitted as stock. 21mm I think.

Got a pair & the matching long studs, if you want them?

Cheers Bruce, I think I might go for something smaller (that doesnt need bolting on) or not at all..will ponder for a bit.

Bear in mind they don't bolt on, if that makes a difference to you. The long studs (930 items I think), pass through the spacer.

As per pet:

Changing to long wheel studs is not something to take on lightly, you need to pull the flange out of the hub which requires a hefty slide hammer or puller. An easier solution is to fit bolt on spacers which have their own studs.

Go 20mm ish as suggested. It'll look badass and plenty of cars with more power and grip than an SC run them without any trouble.

I doubt you'll notice the handling change but it's a nice excuse for a geo set up.

Bolt on spacers/adapters wont fit cookies under about 30mm

Put on the ones I had (24mm)..seemed to fit ok but havent driven it yet.. looks like a Singer now! Maybe not..

Now turn the torsion bars a spline and you're away.

I dont think the wheels will be flush on the spacer! The existing studs will foul on the rear of the cookies as the are completely flat with no recess.
