Hi Everyone. Has anyone fitted a 964 Throttle cable to a 75/76 911. I am looking to do this for a Throttle Body conversion.
Any help information would be appreciated
Thanks MikeS

You can still run the rods - but speak to Chris at fennlane regarding linkages and also throttle bodies

Hi Robin.
Thanks have looked at using the original rods, but favour the cable as this give much more flexibility.

I have the original rod actuating ITBs, made especially easy as PMO use original carb style linkages.

I have made a ( crude) slide mechanism that attaches to the rod on top of the engine but pulls on two cables that then actuate on the two separate motorcycle ITBs. Works very well and has done for a few years now. It uses two shortish cables of relatively equal length to reduce risk of unequal cable stretch.

Thanks Guys.
Tim I have seen yours and like the simple solution, the only reason I asked about the 964 cable is that I do not have the quadrant and mounting on the gearbox, so thought it would be easier to go with a cable from the front.
I have a very neat unit that mounts onto the engine that is a wheel that will pull the two cables for the Throttle bodies, this is "ninemeister" part I got from Colin, the bit I am playing with is front to engine.
Will let you know how I go on
