I know it's been asked before and after hours of searching I still can't get a definitive right or wrong for a SWB 66' :?

So we are now ready for paint and we know which bits needs the 3m sealer but then what parts are painted back and what parts body colour, under the bonnet for example, engine bay?? etc

Here is what I know. Under bonnet is body colour but the large section of the bonnet is Shultz textured in body colour. Inside of front boot is black Shultz but the gas tank is a light grey colour. Underside of car and wheel arches black Shultz. I think the engine bay is black Shultz as well.

Don't forget to paint inside edges of doors and edge of dash black so you can't see body colour where the door card and dash cards end.

Around the petrol tank filler is hand painted black. And for a 66 car the are under the engine grill is also hand painted black. It was done by hand is slightly wobbly not masked off. I can supply pics if needed.

The inside bulkhead is black including the dash top and the front and rear hinges are also black on a 66. I have seen the black underbody colour ride up the outside surface of the sills on many original cars but the majority of modern restos stop the black at the outer edge of the floor pan, leaving the entire outer sill body colour.
