Could try Pirtek, I have used the Ipswich branch for some Porsche hose replacements. I am not suggesting they can manufacture this very hose, take it along and they will advise if possible inc. cost.

The small length of hose used by Porsche to connect the PTFE Fill Lines to the reservoir and the master cylinder are generally Blue in colour.

The hose is supplied by Porsche in 1 metre lengths and you will need around 300mm in total as each short length is around 75mm long.

The hose is made from EPDM which is resistant to DOT4 style brake fluids.

If you use a standard Nitrile (NBR) hose it will swell and start to leak after a couple of weeks.

Blue type available here:

Not sure if that is correct for your car, Kieron - they say up to 69. Chris - do you reckon it was still blue in 73?

If you end up buying more than you need of some hose that's also correct for my 70 car, I'll buy a car's worth off you.

Cheers, Richard.

AASE seem to have some mistakes in these descriptions.

The 1965-1967 cars had a single circuit Master Cylinder and a Single outlet reservoir in the Smuggler's box.

The fill line was either 160mm (LHD) or 300mm (RHD) long and had a 999 prefix part number

From 1968 Dual Circuit brakes were fitted with a dual outlet reservoir mounted in the luggage compartment.

Fill lines were connected to the PTFE style fill lines using the Blue braided hose with a 901 prefix.

I think this blue hose was used until cars were fitted with Servo units.

I'd dismissed the blue hose as I'd looked at lots of reference pics of other cars and thought black was correct, but it seems not.

Richard - PET states that part number 901.355.927.01 is correct for RHD drive cars 1971 onwards. So I don't know if this makes it wrong for your car because of colour or length or some other reason. I've ordered a metre of blue and you're welcome to enough to do your car if you find it's suitable.

Thanks to all for the replies.
