My guilty secret, a 79 Targa

OK, I admit it, I bought a 79 Targa last year. It's a shed frankly and the plan is for this to be a long term project as I've precious little spare time these days what with 2x young kids at home and a manic professional life..
Will start a restoration thread at some point soon with pics so you can see if I've bitten off more than I can chew... Give me a few weeks though as I'm off with work to Stuttgart next week and think I've found time in the itinerary to head off to a certain Museum for a while..

Welcome to the Targa club James. I've seen the pictures, I think this will keep you busy, but I know you love collecting parts.

No. It's a shed. Won't be on the road for 3 or 4 years!!!
It is (was) light metallic blue. You'll cry with laughter at the pics at what I've bought..

Not for years maybe but no doubt lots of fun eventually and probably some heartache in between.
I just reread this thread of Johnny's SC.
It is a lovely story.
Then I started looking at Vemu cars for similar Targas. There are a few. Lucky I do not have any money.

Ha! Mine is also a shed, but a mobile one at least. And after it has now been Bainbridged because of a head stud, it is actually now a very quick shed. Just needs paint, interior, suspension and roof and it'll be all good.
