Good luck to the seller but in my mind this is a £12K project needing a full £80K+ restoration ...... viewtopic.php?f=21&t=58654

No doubt the market will dictate the actual value but am I really that far out of touch? :?

Cheers,

I saw the ad and thought good luck to the seller as well ........ but hey, its his car to ask what he wants for it.

I am not sure £12k will buy you anything 911 these days to be honest, let alone an old rusty SWB car.

I think your bang on Darren, the shell looks like it needs a lot of work and new metal which if done by a reputable shop will take 10s of 1000s

It does need a lot of work. I think the clue here is that the seller has left the car in the States for now hoping for a sale there where a 68L is somewhat admired more than here (rightly or wrongly) as a 'one year only special' model. They didn't get our 'equivalent' S over there in 68.

Regards
Mike

"The car will need a paint job and restoration work"

Understatement of the year right there....

The lack of any real chassis photo's tells the truth on this one. Interior is complete...... that made me laugh. Dash might take a little fettling. No harm in trying at his price. A fool and his money.....

....noted and possibly a tad optimistic for a one year only SWB but then I still couldn't get my head around much more!

But hey what do I know, I don't follow prices so this could well be the going rate for this type of project?

The result will be interesting.

Saw that on Facebook, a remarkable recovery! Although much of it is new it has continuous history.

A post like that is not complete without pictures, the only rule in DDK. :)
