Just bought a set of these for my 1600 Speedster. Anybody care to give me some words of wisdom on fitting/setup etc. Worked out about £230 delivered (to US work colleague). They are approx £385 delivered over here.

i have/had these and theyare very good, only problem i had was when a linkage game off at about 90 the car stiil did (60 flat out on 2 cylinders) until i could pull over. but hey this was my error anyway. i now have 40idfs as i have a porsche fan, its a shame cause foe ease of setup ect these carbs are really good.

Yeah, get someone good with carbs to do it. the guy who did mine just syncronized them and tickover etc. they are quite east=y as far as carbs go.

It might be worth getting a book on setting them up, although mine was for dellorto`s it cant be far wrong if they dont have one for webbers. I got it from VW books I think it was at one of the fairs.
