Hi

I'm possibly on the lookout for a NEW 912 camshaft and followers for my engine.

so

1) Has anyone got anything lying about that they're not using? Neutek Cam / Benton Cam / New Followers

2) Anyone got any experience of the Neutek SX-2 or Elgin 7208-19 cam?

3) Any other suggestions other than a stock cam?

p.s. will be 1720 with stock solex carbs

Do not buy Cam Followers from Porsche - they are not good
We can re-furb. - existing followers - depending on the Manufacturer

We've used this one for a historic road rally car. Was in stock, decent value, plenty of torque and no problems.

I cannot comment on that - I have no experience of the 911 ones

As a test, to see what they were like, I bought just one 356 Unit (at £62) the finish was atrocious and I returned it

This is becoming a real problem with `some` parts from Porsche
The manufacturing source is unknown, quality control seems to be lacking and I am not convinced that there is a proper system in place for Dealers to report back to Stuttgart

I hope that someone from Porsche is reading this
