Morning... can anyone let me know the correct routing for the speedo cable, where does it exit the tunnel and enter the luggage comp?

Thanks.

Up through the hole in the top of the centre tunnel along with the wiring loom, then up through the hole in the bottom RH corner of photo 2. There is a special grommet for this hole which accommodates a slanted cable orientation. Sorry I can't add a photo.

That grommet is still available from your OCP

Hi Kieron, don't forgot the plastic sheaving on the cable tabs (under the dash), plus the nuts on the pedal assembly should fill the nut (those look low), and incase it helps don't forget to fit the wiper brace before fitting the dash top.

Also are those fuel (metal lines) the same size? On rear mounted fuel pumps the feed line should be larger and from the pic they look the same.

Thanks for your input Alan..

Sheaving on the tabs now done. Pedal box not finally fitted so nuts are still loose. Fuel lines are correct the one on the left is 10mm and on the right is the 8mm return, I think it's just the camera angle. Timely reminded on the wiper brace... :)

By the way I don't have the panel highlighted and wondered if it's still available because I can't see it in PET? I assume the ribbed section just in front of the highlight area on top of the tunnel is integral to the tunnel carpet?

Thanks again.

Hi Kieron, I will see if I have one spare. You are correct about the ribbed section in front of the foot rest, it is stitched in. The same with the drivers foot mat, but in the pic you attached the fit/cut is all wrong.

Hi Kieron,
Good to see the progress.

Sorry, no idea if available. Seems like it could be a long shot - must be RHD only?
I do know it's a very simple shape and I have one off the car in my shed (not a spare, unfortunately). If worst comes to worst you are welcome to borrow it to copy the shape, or I'll take some pics and send measurements.

Or, better idea (channeling Barry now): I could make a version of the shape in cardboard, preferably a cereal packet, and post it to you.

Cheers, Richard.

Thanks Alan.

Hi Richard, that's very kind. If Alan doesn't have one I'll be in touch for measurements and a picture.

Thanks again.

In case it helps, these are RHD only. They are used for quite a few years so should not be to hard to find. The material used to cover the foot rest changes but is easily sourced. The screws and bevelled cup washers (which are specific to this fixing) are available new, we keep them in stock.
