How do you dismantle the twist lock from the glove box (72MY) to replace the tumblers for rekeying?
I took the lock off and in my usual style, would break it trying to get it apart so this time, i thought i would ask before setting about it with chisels and hammers and stuff....

thanks, useful, especially the bit regarding the 911 ignition which was next on my list.
The main issue seems to be locating the pin that allows the glove box lock to be disassembled. Whereabouts on the lock itself is this pin?? is it at the end the key goes in or the other end. I think you mention the pin kept falling out of yours?

The pin is on the side and I think it is about two thirds down from the key end. However it is probably good advice to take it to a locksmith!

worked a treat ......after i spent half an hour finding the small spring and the plastic tongue which shot our when i extracted the barrel. for anyone trying this at home, remove everything inside a plastic bag or put your hand over everything to catch the tiny tiny pieces which fly out at warp factor 10....
