Voltage Regulator

Is the voltage regulator on a 68 912 the same as a 12v VW Beetle?
If not where can i get one which works?

Yeah they are the same. Changed mine for a solid state type from machine 7

In case you can't find one, I just changed over to an alternator (built-in reg) so have a few solid state standalone regulators going spare.
