Why are they using the DK Engineering photos at the end? It's not the same car?! For 'inspirational purposes' maybe.

You have "barnfinds" (old cars that were standing still for a long time, in need of a restoration) and Barnfinds (cars that were actually stored in a barn, halfway forgotten and re-discovered after many years).
This car is one of those Barnfinds (with a capital B).

The guy with the tin of black paint obviously lost the original side trims/rubbers and front spoiler (and trim/rubber). Original parts almost impossible to find.

Is Eric 'Soterik' (?) now supplying repros for all these hard to come by trim bits, Mike?
I haven't looked for a while but he did seem to be increasing is product range and the pieces I saw at Essen were of a high quality. Will never be original though, obvs.

Yes, Eric does the side trims and rubbers in short runs as demand determines but not always in stock. They are probably as close as you can get to original pieces. He doesn't (to the best of my knowledge) do the one and a half year only front and rear trims although he does do the rubber inserts.
