Hello everyone! After pillaging the site for information for a while now I thought I should sign up and start contributing!
I'm not going to try and copy and paste the whole thread so far into here, so here's the direct link -
http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/ ... orsche-914
As a summary I bought this from North Carolina late last year, it finally arrived in January and work began a week later. So from January til now we have gone from this...
To this...
Via lots of this...
I'll update this thread whenever I make an update on retrorides from now on if there is interest

That's my fathers 912, my car may have kicked it out of the garage for a few months

It's a '67 swb, signal green and 5 clock car.

Two VERY nice cars in fresh paint...I love seeing a car in fresh paint. It's the enjoyable part of the restoration from then on. Thanks for sharing.
Haven't looked yet but is your dad's car in the 912 section on here, would be great to follow both cars progress

Thats my 67 912 in Signal green, original colour. Balls deep into a mega rest right from bare shell, jig etc. A certain 914 robbed me of all my resto time since it landed in January. Full steam ahead now, its back in my workshop as of last night

Sorry, Im the lazy one here, may do a trunkated thread with a few of the best pictures. I've had it and enjoyed it for 6 years, but it got to the stage I had to steam in before it got bad, lost its rough well used look though

This picture taken from the was it you thread is as it was for years before I started the rest

Well the car was 'finished' Saturday evening and enjoyed it's firt run up to Bicester heritage centre for the sunday scramble. I was even allowed to park next to the big boys porsches
It was also had a mini photoshoot with a friends beetle before the heavens opened.
To say I'm over the moon with the car is an understatement!

And my SC was the "big boys Porsche" next to you in the 914 sandwich.
Great to see your car on the road for the first time. Congrats on all the hard work.
