Hi All,

I have lurked here for a while and on Impact Bumpers plus have been a member on Pelican for a few years now. I have always been interested in the early Porsche's and have been impressed by the cars and knowledge in here so thought it was time I signed up!
I currently own a 76 C3 which is my second 911, previous was a 79 SC. I have always been a petrol head and enjoy tinkering with my cars. Though born in England I grew up in Canada, Germany then in the UK around West Malling and Aylesford and have lived in Oz the last ten years. I always wanted a C3 and imported mine from the UK four years ago and track it 3 or 4 times a year. I used to take the old SC to the Ring which is my favorite track hands down.
I come over to the UK every year to visit friends, family and catch a few races. Two years ago I went to Le mans for the first time to see Porsche's return and went back again last year as well. I was able to blag a ride to Le mans each year in a IB 911 from posting on IB but have come up dry this year. If anyone is going this year and has a spare seat I am very happy to pay half of all expenses!
I will be going to my second Rennsport in Sydney next weekend will post some pictures when I get back!
First go at pics hopefully you can see them!
First two picks are at Wakefield Park, back when some of the roads were dirt getting there. Third pic is after I took the tail off.
cheers
Bill

Thanks sladey,
A bit more about the car it was in a feature article in Total 911 Issue 73 a few years ago and is pretty much original. I bought it pretty much unseen except that the missus was in the UK at the time so I sent her to have a look at it. She liked the colour and the rest is history!
The car was running hot when it arrived in Oz so I took the dents out of the oil cooler lines, fitted the later Carrera cooler and changed the fan from a 5 to a 11 blade. It now copes with stop and go traffic in 40C weather! I got really lucky with this car as it has been very reliable during the four years I have had it. The standard tombstone seats were knackered so I put in a pair of later 944 seats but would like to replace them with the right period sport seats if I can find some them get them recovered in the correct materials.
Cheers
Bill
